Appendix 1 - Organization and Working Group Mandates

Working Group Mandates

  1. Network WG

    The mandate of the Network WG is to undertake tasks related to network issues on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  2. Business Process WG

    The mandate of the Business Process WG is to undertake tasks related to business process issues on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  3. Master Agreement WG

    The mandate of the Master Agreement WG is to undertake tasks related to agreements and other legal issues on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  4. Network Operations WG

    The mandate of the Network Operations WG is to undertake tasks related to network operations issues on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  5. Emergency Services 9-1-1 WG

    The mandate of the Emergency Services 9-1-1 WG is to undertake tasks related to emergency services issues on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  6. Canadian Steering Committee on Numbering (CSCN)

    The mandate of the CSCN is to undertake tasks related to numbering issues on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  7. Building Access & Inside Wiring WG (BIWG)

    The mandate of the BIWG is to undertake tasks related to building access and inside wiring issues on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  8. Network Security WG

    The mandate of the Network Security WG is to undertake tasks related to network security issues on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  9. Tariff WG

    The mandate of the Tariff WG is to undertake tasks related to tariffs on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  10. Exchange Consolidation

    The mandate of the Exchange Consolidation Ad-Hoc WG is to undertake tasks related to consolidation of exchanges on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  11. Network of Networks

    The mandate of the Network of Network Ad-Hoc WG is to undertake tasks related to networks interconnection on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  12. Cable Access

    The mandate of the Cable Access Ad-Hoc WG is to undertake tasks related to Cable High Speed Access on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  13. CCM Implementation

    The mandate of the CCM Implementation Ad-Hoc WG is to undertake tasks related to the implementation of Contribution Collection Mechanism on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.

  14. NPA Relief

    The mandate of the NPA Relief Ad-Hoc WGs is to undertake tasks related to NPA Relief activities on matters assigned by the CRTC that fall within the scope of the CRTC jurisdiction. Specific tasks may be assigned by the CRTC or originated by the public. Upon completion, reports are forwarded to the CRTC for consideration.
