For data collection purposes, the industry is stratified into two broad groups (Group 1 and Group 2) as described in Telecom Circular 2005-1. Entities in Group 1 are required to use the web-based Data Collection System (DCS) while entities in Group 2 are required to fill in a pre-populated simplified Registration form that will be mailed to them.
If you are an entity involved in one or more of the Commission processes mentioned in Telecom Circular 2003-1, and have not yet nominated a Response Manager, rather than attempting to print off the forms on this page and fill them in, please first nominate a Response Manager by following the procedure described in Telecom Circular 2003-1.
As the Reporting Guide explains, data collection consists of a two-step process. The first step involves issuing the Registration form on 16 January 2007. Information collected from this form will be used to identify which particular Data Forms, covering specific CRTC process information, a reporting entity will have to complete in the second step. The Data Forms will be issued once the completed Registration form has been submitted to the Commission with varying completion dates depending on the particular Commission activity in question.
