Television Sector Overview

Section 3(1)(b) of the Broadcasting Act (the Act) mandates that three elements - public, private and community - must be represented in the Canadian broadcasting system. In the Commission's view, the Canadian broadcasting system should provide access to a diversity of voices through broadcasting services from each of those elements.
