Michel Morin

Photo: Michel Morin MICHEL MORIN was appointed as Commissioner on August 6, 2007.

He has over three decades of experience in the journalistic field, which culminated in his most recent position as Chief Editor, Television News, for Radio-Canada and RDI from 2003 to 2004.

A respected journalist known for his coverage of economic issues and current affairs, Mr. Morin contributed to the daily TV magazine, Le Point, as both a journalist and chief editor from 1996 to 2003. He has also served in a broad range of assignments, including: foreign correspondent for Radio-Canada in Paris; parliamentary correspondent in Quebec City; journalist and anchor for the regional radio production, Présent; and anchor and research assistant for the television program, Consommateurs avertis. Mr. Morin received the Prix du président de la Télévision française de Radio-Canada for one of his reports on the child victims from the war in Bosnia.

His five-year term ends on August 5, 2012.
