Stephen B. Simpson
During his career, he has acquired considerable experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, media production and broadcasting. He most recently served as President of Identity Management Inc., a consulting and public affairs company he co-founded in 1986. From 1999 to 2001, he also served as Vice-President of Marketing with Angus Reid during its expansion into the United States and European markets. In 2001, he was appointed Chair of Totally Hip Software, a company specializing in the development of digital authoring tools for the deployment of multimedia projects to the Internet and mobile devices.
Mr. Simpson previously enjoyed a successful career in advertising with some of Canada’s leading agencies, where he wrote and produced television campaigns for such clients as Toyota, General Mills, Nike and Air Canada. A former radio broadcaster, he has also served in management roles for several stations. His work has been recognized with multiple Clio Awards and International Broadcast Awards.
An active member of his community, Mr. Simpson co-founded the Canadian Heritage Arts Society and has served as a director of the Vancouver Playhouse, the Granville Island Trust, the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation and the Vancouver Port Authority.
His term ends on June 22, 2018.
