Decision

Ottawa, 10 March 1986
Decision CRTC 86-193
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Sarnia, Ontario - 851143800
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1986-14 dated 20 January 1986, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CBEG-FM Sarnia by changing the frequency from 106.3 MHz (channel 292B) to 90.3 MHz (channel 212A) and by decreasing the effective radiated power from 50,000 watts to 1,800 watts.
The CBC has indicated that the change of frequency is required as the result of revisions to the CBC Long Range Radio Plan as set out in Public Notice CRTC 1985-86 and that area will continue to be adequately served.
In accordance with paragraph 22(1)(b) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment, and the authority granted herein may only be implemented, at such time as written notification is received from the Department of Communications that it will issue an amendment to the Technical Construction and Operating Certificate.
Fernand Bélisle
Secretary General
