Decision

Ottawa, 26 April 1995
Decision CRTC 95-184
South Cariboo Communities Resource Board
100 Mile House, British Columbia - 940673700
New radiocommunication distribution undertaking
Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region, held on 21 February 1995, the Commission approves the application for a licence to carry on a radiocommu- nication distribution undertaking consisting of two low power television transmitters to serve 100 Mile House. This undertaking will distribute, in non-encrypted mode, the programming services of the Open Learning Agency (Knowledge Network), received via satellite, on channels 33 and 11, with a transmitter power of 6 and 12 watts, respectively.
The Commission will issue a licence to South Cariboo Communities Resource Board, expiring 31 August 1998, subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued.
The licence term granted herein, while less than the maximum of seven years permitted under the Broadcasting Act, will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of this licence in accordance with the Commission's regional plan and to better distribute the workload within the Commission.
The Commission acknowledges the intervention submitted in support of this application.

Secretary General
