Decision

Ottawa, 7 July 1995
Decision CRTC 95-412
Radiomutuel Inc.
La Sarre, Quebec - 950014100
Power increase for CJMM-FM-1 - Approved
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-55 dated 10 April 1995, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CJMM-FM Rouyn-Noranda by increasing the effective radiated power of its transmitter CJMM-FM-1 La Sarre from 46.8 watts to 270 watts.
This application follows Decision CRTC 94-346 dated 5 July 1994 wherein the Commission denied a application to increase the power of CJMM-FM-1 to 3,000 watts. The licensee had also submitted a proposal for a change in transmitter site for CJMM-FM-1. The Commission indicated that it had no objection to the modified contours implied in the change of transmitter site. The Commission also indicated that should the change result in a partial loss of CJMM-FM-1's present coverage area, it would be prepared to consider an application for technical amendments that would allow the licensee to correct the situation.
