Decision

Ottawa, 5 October 1995
Decision CRTC 95-739
TMN Networks Inc. (TMN)
Eastern Canada - 950179200
Licence amendment
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-124 dated 25 July 1995, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language pay television programming undertaking to distribute the service known as MoviePix in Eastern Canada, by adding the following immediately after the first sentence of condition of licence no. 1:
1. The licensee may also provide its programming service to Iqaluit, Northwest Territories. The authorization for the provision of service to Iqaluit will cease when and if the satellite transponder configuration or the technology is adjusted to facilitate adequate signal reception of the MovieMax service provided by Allarcom Pay Television Limited.
This change will allow cable subscribers in Iqaluit to have access to a pay television service consisting of Canadian and foreign films and related programming.
In approving this application, the Commission has taken into account that all affected licensees have agreed to this proposal.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
