Schedule of Regional Consultations on the Commission's Approach to Violence in Television Programming
In Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1995-5, dated 3 April 1995, the Commission announced that it will hold a public hearing, commencing 11 October 1995 at the Conference Centre, Phase IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec to discuss questions and approaches relating to the issue of violence in television programming.
The Commission also announced that it would hold regional consultations before the hearing. These consultations, as well as the public hearing, are designed to give the public and the industry an opportunity to provide input on the Commission's proposed approach to dealing with violence in television, as outlined in the Notice of Public Hearing, or to suggest alternative approaches and initiatives that could be taken.

If you wish to appear at a regional consultation and have not already notified the Commission, please advise the closest CRTC office, either by phone, by fax or in writing, on or before 12 September 1995.
If you require communications support such as assistive listening devices and sign language interpretation, please advise the Commission as soon as possible so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
An information package on the issue of television violence will be sent to everyone who wishes
