Decision CRTC 96-20
CIRC Radio Inc.
Toronto, Ontario - 951291400
Licence amendments for CIRV-FM
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-190 dated 8 November 1995, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CIRV-FM Toronto, by increasing the effective radiated power from 330 watts to 1,000 watts and by changing the class of channel occupied by the station from "Class A" to "Class B".
The licensee stated that the proposed power increase will improve the reliability of CIRV-FM's signal throughout its service area and increase the quality of its signal in the urban core of Toronto.
The Commission acknowledges the numerous interventions submitted in support of this application.
