Decision

Ottawa, 31 July 1996
Decision CRTC 96-296
Northern Native Broadcasting, Yukon
Destruction Bay, Yukon Territory- 199604939
 Licence amendment for CHON-FM
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-76 dated 7 June 1996, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CHON-FM Whitehorse, by decreasing the effective radiated power of its transmitter VF2147 Destruction Bay from 10 watts to 2 watts.
The licensee proposes to relocate this transmitter, VF2147 Destruction Bay, to a new site approximately 1.46 kilometres southeast of the present site in order to provide better service to that locality. The Commission notes that there will be no significant change in the service contours of the transmitter, as presently authorized. The Commission hereby authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
