Public Notice CRTC 1996-1

The Commission has received the following applications:

ONTARIO REGION

1. HAWKESBURY, Ontario

Application (952362200) by RADIO FUSION INC., 385 Principale Street, Lachute, Quebec, J8H 1Y1:

a) for an extension of the deadline to 12 October 1996 in order to implement the conversion of the antenna and production studio of CHPR-1-FM (Hawkesbury) to stereo. This commitment formed part of the proposed benefits package considered at the time the Commission approved the transfer of effective control of Radio Fusion Inc. in Decision CRTC 90-780.

b) to amend the Promise of Performance of CHPR-1-FM (Hawkesbury) by reducing local programming from 30 to 21 hours per week.

The station which operates in a single-station market wishes to take advantage of the new Local Programming Policy for FM Radio - Definition of a Single-Station Market (Public Notice CRTC 1993-121).

2. THUNDER BAY, Ontario

Application (951303700) by C.J.S.D. INCORPORATED to amend the (radio) programming undertaking licence of CJSD-FM by decreasing the effective radiated power from 95,000 to 93,000 watts.

The licensee states that this change will result from the replacement of an aging tower and FM antenna at the Mount Baldy site, and will have no impact on existing coverage contours.
