Transfer of control and shares
Consistent with the procedures outlined in Public Notice CRTC 1992-72 dated 2 November 1992 entitled "A Review of the CRTC's Regulations and Policies for Radio", the Commission announces that it has approved, by Letter of Authority A96-0048 dated 26 April 1996, the transfer of control of Boundary Broadcasting Ltd., licensee of the radio programming undertaking consisting of CKGF Grand Forks, CKGF-1-FM Christina Lake, CKGF-2-FM Greenwood and CKGF-3-FM Rock Creek, as well as the transfer of shares of Valley Broadcasters Ltd., licensee of the radio programming undertaking consisting of CKQR Castlegar and CHNV-FM Nelson and of the radio network which broadcasts programming originating from CKQR, through the transfer of all of the issued and outstanding shares from 4174880 B.C. Ltd. to J.W. Gillespie Equities Corp.
The Commission notes that as a result of these transactions, Boundary Broadcasting Ltd. and Valley Broadcasters Ltd. become fully owned by J.W. Gillespie Equities Corp.
