RADIO MARKET DATA
|
|
On 23 July 1991, the Commission issued Public Notice CRTC 1991-74, entitled "Radio Market Policy".
|
|
In that Notice, the Commission announced:
|
|
(a) a set of criteria that could be used by the public and the Commission to give indications, at an early stage, of the capacity of markets to support additional commercial radio stations;
|
|
(b) a revised procedure for processing applications, incorporating the use of these criteria; and
|
|
(c) an intention to release, on an annual basis, certain financial data related to the growth of radio revenues and the profitability of stations in the various radio markets across Canada.
|
|
The Commission hereby announces that the sixth set of such data is now available. Interested parties may obtain further information by contacting the Commission at the following addresses:
