Telecom Order CRTC 97-1833
On 27 October 1997, TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI) filed an application for approval of an amendment to Schedule E, Message Toll Service, of the Telecommunication Interconnection and Service Agreement between TCI and Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel). The Amending Agreement provides for compensation to TCI for the usage based charge it incurs on Northwestel's behalf associated with accessing and querying Stentor's toll free database, for toll free calls which are either both originated and terminated within Northwestel's operating territory or originated in Northwestel's operating territory and terminated to an alternate provider of long distance service.

In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
The amending agreement between TCI and Northwestel is approved.
