Telecom Order

Ottawa, 3 April 1997
Telecom Order CRTC 97-404-1
ERRATUM
Correction to Telecom Order CRTC 97-404 dated 27 March 1997.
IN THE MATTER OF an ex parte application filed by Bell Canada (Bell) under Tariff Notice 5956 dated 28 February 1997, as amended by Tariff Notice 5956A dated 11 March 1997.
WHEREAS as an exception to the ex parte procedure established in Review of Regulatory Framework, Telecom Decision CRTC 94-19, 16 September 1994, Bell has requested that the application not be placed on the public record until the effective date of the proposed offering due to the competitive harm that could result if the information was released prior to that date; and
WHEREAS given Bell's arguments, the Commission is of the view that because the specific direct harm outweighs the public interest in disclosure, confidentiality of the filing is appropriate until the effective date of the application -
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
The above Order is amended to read:
The proposed tariff revisions to become effective on 4 May 1997 are approved on an interim basis. The company is directed to provide a copy of the application for the public record in all relevant public examination rooms on the effective date.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
