IN THE MATTER OF the Phase III/Split Rate Base (SRB) Manual Update Reports filed by BC TEL and TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI) on 13 and 15 January 1997 respectively.
|

WHEREAS BC TEL and TCI filed their Phase III/SRB Manual Update Reports, with explanations, in accordance with the Proposed Revisions to the Phase III Manual Update Procedure, Telecom Letter Decision CRTC 89-26, 1 December 1989 (Letter Decision 89-26), Review of Regulatory Framework, Telecom Decision CRTC 94-19, 16 September 1994, Review of Phase III of the Cost Inquiry, Telecom Decision CRTC 94-24, 18 November 1994 and Implementation of Regulatory Framework - Splitting of the Rate Base and Related Issues, Telecom Decision CRTC 95-21, 31 October 1995;

|
WHEREAS no comments on the proposed updates from BC TEL and TCI were submitted by interested parties;
|
|
WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the proposed updates filed by BC TEL and TCI and finds them acceptable; and
|
|
WHEREAS, in accordance with Letter Decision 89-26, BC TEL and TCI must file amended pages to their Phase III/SRB Manuals by 30 June of each year -
|
|
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
|
|
1. The proposed Phase III/SRB Manual Update Reports filed by BC TEL and TCI, respectively are approved.
|
|
2. The amended pages to the Phase III/SRB Manuals of BC TEL and TCI which are to include all updates approved in this Order that are relevant to the production of the 1996 SRB results, are to be filed with the Commission by 30 June 1997.
|
|
3. Copies of the amended pages to BC TEL's and TCI's respective Phase III/SRB Manuals are to be served on the Phase III/SRB Manual interested parties for each company by the same date.
