 BELL CANADA AND ONTARIO TELEPHONE ASSOCIATION - TARIFF REVISIONS PROVIDING FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE LOCAL DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE CHARGE TO REQUESTS FOR NEW AND OUT-OF-BOOK LISTINGS

OTA Tariff Notice 30
1.  The Commission has received applications under Bell Canada (Bell) Tariff Notice 5941, dated 14 February 1997, and from the Ontario Telephone Association (OTA) under Tariff Notice 30 dated 7 April 1997, for approval of tariff revisions providing for the application of the Local Directory Assistance charge to requests for new and out-of-book listings, effective 20 May 1997.
 Procedure
2.  Bell's and OTA's applications may be examined at any of the company's business offices, the association's office or at the offices of the CRTC in the following locations:

3.  A copy of Bell's and OTA's applications can be obtained by any interested person upon request directed to the company and the association at the addresses shown below.

5.  Bell and OTA may file any reply comments by 2 June 1997.
6.  In addition to hard copy filings, parties are encouraged to file with the Commission electronic versions of their submissions in accordance with the Commission's Interim Telecom Guidelines for the Handling of Machine-Readable Files, dated 30 November 1995. 7.  Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely mailed, by that date.
8.  The Commission expects to issue a ruling with respect to this application in the third quarter of 1997.
