TELECOMMUNICATIONS FEES

The Telecommunications Fees Regulations, 1995 SOR/95-157, 23 March 1995 (the Regulations), provide for the payment of annual telecommunications fees by certain Canadian carriers. Section 4 of the Regulations sets out the formula for the calculation of the telecommunications fees.

As contemplated by section 4 of the Regulations, the Commission hereby publishes:

(1) the amount to be recovered through telecommunications fees due 1 June 1997: $17.32 million; and

(2) the aggregated of operating revenues: $15.4 billion.
