Decision CRTC 98-139

The Partners of Canal Indigo, a general partnership (Canal Indigo)

Across Canada - 199714275 - 199714283

Licence amendments

1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1998-17 dated 25 February 1998, the Commission approves the application by The Partners of Canal Indigo, a general partnership (Canal Indigo), to amend condition of licence no. 3 of the French-language national pay per view undertaking and condition of licence no. 6 of the French-language national DTH pay per view undertaking, pertaining to drama series and educational television programs. The conditions will read as follows:

All drama series (series, mini-series, films for television, etc.) and educational television programs must be broadcast on a ratio of one (1) Canadian program for ten (10) non-Canadian programs.

2. When filing these applications, the licensees indicated that it was much more difficult than foreseen, to acquire the rights to the types of programs that their undertakings broadcast or to have such programs produced.

This decision is to be appended to each licence.
