Decision

Ottawa, 22 September 1998
Decision CRTC 98-444
Fundy Cable Ltd./Ltée
Millville, New Brunswick - 199802872
Signal distribution changes
1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1998-69 dated 16 July 1998, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the cable distribution undertaking serving Millville. The licensee is relieved, by condition of licence, from the requirement of section 32(1)(b) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations to distribute the regional priority signal of CIHF-TV-1 (IND) Fredericton. The licensee will distribute instead CIHF-TV-2 Saint John, received over the air.
2. The Commission authorizes the licensee to distribute, at its option, the programming service of WMEM-TV (PBS) Presque Isle, Maine, as part of the basic service. The Commission notes that the licensee will receive this signal by optical fibre from its Woodstock undertaking.
3. The licensee may receive any authorized signals over the air, or from any licensed or exempted Canadian broadcasting distribution undertaking authorized to provide signals to other broadcasting distribution undertakings.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
