Increase in power for CBQI
1. The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CHAK Inuvik, by increasing the transmitter power of the transmitter CBQI Tulita from 40 watts to 99 watts.
2. The CBC indicated that the increase in power together with improvements to the antenna will provide better service throughout CBQI's coverage area.
3. In accordance with section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment and grant the authority to operate when it receives notification from the Department of Industry that its technical requirements have been met, and that a Broadcasting Certificate will be issued.
