Acquisition of the assets of CBPG-FM and CBPH-FM

1. The Commission approves the applications for authority to acquire the assets of CBPG-FM and CBPH-FM Banff from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and for broadcasting licences to continue the operation of these undertakings.

2. The Commission will issue licences to the Friends of Banff National Park Fellowship, expiring 31 August 2001, the current expiry date, upon surrender of the current licences.

3. The Commission notes that the applicant is a not-for-profit organization (a corporation without share capital) incorporated under the Societies Act of the Province of Alberta.

Conditions of licence

4. In addition to being subject to conditions of licence set out in the licences to be issued, the licences are subject to the following conditions:

· that the programming broadcast by the licensee consist exclusively of general information and weather reports provided by Banff National Park;

· that the licensee broadcast no more than 6 minutes of advertising in any hour of broadcast, and that it broadcast an average of no more than 4 minutes of advertising for every hour of broadcast up to a total of 504 minutes of advertising per week.
