New radio network to broadcast the games of the Ottawa Senators
1. The Commission approves the application by Rawlco Ottawa Ltd. for an English-language radio network licence for the purpose of broadcasting the National Hockey League games of the Ottawa Senators. The Commission notes that each broadcast will also include hour-long pre-game and post-game shows.
2. The Commission will issue a network licence expiring 31 August 2005, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
3. Any affiliates of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) carrying broadcasts of the games must ensure that their network affiliation agreement is respected, and that any rescheduling of CBC programs affected by the broadcasts in question is acceptable to the CBC.
