Telecom Order CRTC 99-1075

Ottawa, 18 November 1999

On 1 September 1999, TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI) filed an application proposing revisions to General Tariff Item 235 to introduce the YAK PAK package.

File No.: Tariff Notice 140

1. The proposed YAK PAK package provides residential individual-line customers with the opportunity to subscribe to nine Calling Features for a fixed monthly rate of $20.89 or $17.89 for those customers who have also selected TCI as their Primary Interexchange Carrier.

2. TCI filed one imputation test for the combination of the two rate proposals. In the Commission's view, since the service proposes two rates addressing separate market segments, separate imputation tests should have been filed. However, in this instance, the Commission considers that the imputation test would be met for each proposed rate.

3. In light of the above, the proposed revisions are approved. The Commission notes that, in the future, separate imputation tests will be required in such cases.
