| One-year renewal for Discovery Channel | |

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the English-language specialty programming undertaking Discovery Channel, from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2001, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence. |

This administrative renewal does not dispose of any substantive issues that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. When a licence renewal application is filed, it will be announced and interested parties will then have an opportunity to comment. |
