  One-year renewal for Discovery Channel

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the English-language specialty programming undertaking Discovery Channel, from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2001, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.

This administrative renewal does not dispose of any substantive issues that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. When a licence renewal application is filed, it will be announced and interested parties will then have an opportunity to comment.
