Decision CRTC 2000-267
  Ottawa, 12 July 2000

  CTV Television Inc.
Ottawa, Deseronto, Cornwall and Pembroke, Ontario
One-year administrative renewal for CJOH-TV

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the television programming undertaking CJOH-TV Ottawa and its transmitters, from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2001, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.

2.

The Commission has granted this administrative renewal to allow it to consider, at the same time, all licences held by multi-station ownership groups, as stated in Building on success - A policy framework for Canadian television - Public Notice 1999-97 dated 11 June 1999.

3.

The decision released today does not dispose of any substantive issues that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. When the licence renewal application is filed, it will be announced and interested parties will then have an opportunity to comment.
