Order CRTC 2000-352

Ottawa, 28 April 2000
Optel's proposed tariffs for access services in Manitoba and Nova Scotia
Reference: Tariff Notice 05
The Commission approves on an interim basis Optel Communications Corporation's proposed tariff provisions for access services in the provinces of Manitoba and Nova Scotia.

1.

Optel Communications Corporation filed an application proposing revisions to its General Tariff (CRTC Tariff 21240) to provide access services in the provinces of Manitoba and Nova Scotia. The application, filed under Tariff Notice (TN) 5 on 15 March 2000, was amended by TNs 5A and 5B filed on 24 March and 30 March 2000 respectively.

2.

The Commission notes that the tariff requires minor corrections to several of the per-circuit contribution rates.

3.

In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:

a) The proposed tariffs are approved on an interim basis with the following amendments:

1. In Item 304(1.3.1):

i)      the rate for 75-99 circuits in Alberta of $167.00 should read $166.00; and

ii)      the rate for 1-3 circuits in British Columbia of $13.00 should read $14.00.

2.      In Item 304(1.3.2), the rate for 4-6 circuits in British Columbia of $46.00 should read $44.00.

b)      Optel is directed to issue forthwith revised tariff pages incorporating the changes set out above.
