The Commission renews the licence for CKBI-TV Prince Albert and its transmitters CKBI-TV-2 North Battleford, CKBI-TV-3 Greenwater Lake, CKBI-TV-4 Nipawin, CKBI-TV-5 Big River, CKBI-TV-6 Spiritwood and CKBI-TV-7 Tisdale, Saskatchewan. The licence for this undertaking will be subject to the terms, conditions of licence, commitments and expectations set out below, as well as to those contained in Decision CRTC 2001-457: |

The licence will be in effect from 1 September 2001 to 31 August 2008. |

3. |
The Commission notes that this licensee is subject to the Employment Equity Act and therefore files reports concerning employment equity with Human Resources Development Canada. |

Condition of licence |

4. |
The licensee shall operate this broadcasting undertaking as an affiliate of the English-Language television network operated by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. |

Expectation and commitment |

As indicated above, CKBI-TV operates as an affiliate of the CBC television network. As discussed in Decision CRTC 2001-457, and in line with the level of captioned programming currently required of the CBC, the Commission expects the licensee to provide captioning for at least 90% of all programming aired during the broadcast day, including 100% of all category 1 - News programming. |

The Commission notes the licensee's commitment to broadcast on CKBI-TV Prince Albert a minimum level of 2.5 hours of local programming in each broadcast week. |
