Voice mail service

The Commission approves TCI's request to amalgamate parts of the former TELUS Communications Inc.'s and TELUS Communications (B.C.) Inc.'s voice mail service as follows:

· extend the "30-day Satisfaction Guarantee" to apply to Alberta and reduce the free trial of features in Alberta to "Free for 30 Days" to align with the British Columbia offer;

· remove the $25 service charge for combined voice mail and increase the monthly rate in British Columbia from $4 to $5 to align with the Alberta offer;

· grandfather call answer mailboxes in Alberta as well as basic and call answer voice mailboxes in British Columbia; and

· remove expired promotions in British Columbia.

TCI filed the application on 14 May 2001 to revise items 168-A, 235 and 301 of its General Tariff.

The revisions take effect on the date of this order.
