Decision CRTC 2001-766

Ottawa, 17 December 2001

Rogers Broadcasting Limited
Lethbridge, Alberta 2001-0525-6

Application processed by
Public Notice CRTC 2001-108
dated 26 October 2001

Relocation of CFRV-FM's transmitter site

1.

The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CFRV-FM Lethbridge by relocating the transmitter to a site 17.6 kilometres east of the existing location.

2.

The Commission authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned change.

3.

The amendment will result in a small reduction in coverage to the west and a significant increase in coverage to the east.

4.

The amendment will only be effective at such time as Industry Canada, having advised that the application is conditionally technically acceptable, determines that there is no unacceptable interference with NAV/COM services and indicates that it will amend its broadcasting certificate (section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act).
