Vertical services and Centrex rates

1.

The Commission approves the application by Bruce Municipal Telephone System (BMTS), dated 27 March 2002, to revise a number of items initsGeneral Tariff, in accordance with the pricing constraints set out by the Commission in Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001.

The revised items and the corresponding rate increases are as follows:

- Item 3 of section 210, Centrex - Rates and Charges:

to increase the optional feature rates by $1 to $2 a month depending on the feature;

- Item 4 of section 210, Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) Connection:

to increase the public switched telephone network connection rates from $14 to $15 for the first five connections and from $18.75 to $25 for six connections or more;

- Item 6 of section 490, Touch-Tone:

to increase the rate by the annual rate of inflation;

- Item 8 of section 490, Custom Calling Features:

to increase the custom calling feature rates by $0.50 to $1;

- Item 13 of section 490, Call Management Service:

to increase the call management residential and business service bundle rates by $1 and $2; respectively;

- Item 3 of section 820, Call Answer Service - Rates and Charges:

to increase the call answer service rates by $1;

- Item 3 of section 100, Exchanges:

to clarify the exchange names, central office codes and area codes for the company's serving territory; and

- Item 5 of section 130, Directory Listings - Rates:

to increase the interior construction hourly rate from $65 to $72

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

BMTS is to issue forthwith revised tariff pages to reflect these changes.
