Radio tower access service

1.

The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 30 October 2002, to add Carrier Access Tariff item 215, Radio Tower Access Service.

2.

TCI proposed to migrate TCI General Tariff (CRTC 18001) item 695, Wireless System Operators - Tower Service, applicable in Alberta, with certain changes, to TCI Carrier Access Tariff item 215, Radio Tower Access Service.

3.

TELUS stated that it had notified customers of the opportunity to submit comments on this application. The Commission will take into account any such comments prior to disposition of the application.

4.

The Commission approves on an interim basis TCI's terms, conditions and rates that are currently being billed in British Columbia for Radio Tower Access service.

5.

The Commission directs that TCI's current tariffs with respect to Radio Tower Access service in Alberta, are to be made interim.

6.

The Commission directs TCI to issue tariff pages reflecting the Commission's determinations forthwith.
