CKXX-FM-1 Stephenville - Technical changes

1.

The Commission approves the application by Newcap Inc. to increase the effective radiated power of CKXX-FM-1 Stephenville, from 4 watts to 12 watts, and to change the authorized contours.

2.

The licensee indicated that it would relocate the transmitter to a location 14.5 kilometres east of the existing site. Newcap Inc. also indicated that the proposed changes are intended to improve the reception of its signal.

3.

The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
