Bell Canada

Market trial for the civic notification service

1.

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 15 April 2003, to introduce Special Facilities Tariff item B96, Civic Notification Service Market Trial, in order to introduce a Civic Notification Service on a market trial basis from 5 May 2003 to 5 September 2003.

In its application, Bell Canada noted that the Civic Notification Service market trial proposes to introduce a two-way information exchange between the City of Sarnia and customers residing in Sarnia. Bell Canada also noted that the market trial is being carried out at the request of the City of Sarnia.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Bell Canada's application

Bell Canada is to issue a revised tariff page forthwith reflecting this decision effective on the date of issuance.
