Telecom Order CRTC 2003-236

Ottawa, 10 June 2003

Le Téléphone de St-Liboire de Bagot Inc.

Reference: Tariff Notice 30

Use of carrier facilities

1.

The Commission received an application by Le Téléphone de St-Liboire de Bagot Inc. (St-Liboire), dated 5 May 2003, to add General Tariff item 2.8, Use of Carrier Facilities, in order to introduce an annual charge of $15.45 for pole space rental, and a monthly charge of $0.24 for strand rental.

2.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

3.

In Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001 (Decision 2001-756), the Commission assigned the services in question to the fourth price cap service basket. In that decision, the Commission determined that rates for such services would generally be permitted to increase up to any already approved rate for the same service.

4.

The Commission finds that the proposed rates were previously approved by the Commission for the same services provided by other companies and, therefore, are in accordance with Decision 2001-756.

5.

The Commission approves St-Liboire's application. The revisions take effect as of 1 July 2003.

6.

St-Liboire is to issue a revised tariff page forthwith to reflect these changes.
