Extended call management service

1.

The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 11 April 2003, to introduce Extended Call Management (ECM) service to NewTel Communications Inc.'s General Tariff item 190.2(c), Provincial Centrex Service, and item 194.3, National Centrex Service.

Aliant Telecom submitted that the proposed ECM service would enable Centrex customers with Call Centre arrangements to improve the level of service they provide to their clients and increase productivity by utilizing a host computer based software package and an appropriate channel to connect to the Centrex service.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
