1.

The Commission received an application by Société en commandite Télébec (Télébec), dated 27 June 2003, to amend General Tariff section 1.2, Terms of Service, in order to:
|
|
|
· add a list of the acceptable methods for obtaining express consent for the disclosure of
confidential customer information, as directed in Confidentiality provisions of
Canadian carriers, Telecom Decision CRTC 2003-33, 30 May 2003, as amended by
Telecom Decision CRTC 2003-33-1, 11 July 2003;
|
|
|
· add provisions stating that express consent is not required where information is
disclosed to:
|
|
|
(i) an agent retained by Télébec to evaluate a customer's creditworthiness or
|
|
|
(ii) a public authority or agent of a public authority, if in the reasonable judgement of
Télébec, it appears that there is imminent danger to life or property which could
be avoided or minimized by disclosure of the information.

|
2.
|
The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.
|
|
3.
|
The Commission approves Télébec's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
