Telecom Order CRTC 2003-35

Ottawa, 20 January 2003

Northern Telephone Limited Partnership

Reference: Tariff Notice 181

Non-material changes to tariffs

1.

The Commission received an application by Northern Telephone Limited Partnership (Northern), dated 29 November 2002, to revise General Tariff sections N210, Centrex, and N240, Centrex II Service, in order to:

· finalize the conversion of the Message Relay Service (MRS) rate of $0.13 into the basic rates for other services requiring MRS functionality;
· finalize the conversion of the Equivalent Service (ES) rate of $2.65 into other eligible business rates for those customers who desire ES; and
· eliminate some contract rates for Large Organizational Centrex customers as there are no customers for these services.

2.

Northern submitted that this application is the final stage of Northern's conversion of the MRS and ES rates.

3.

Northern submitted that there would be no increase in its customers' billing statements as a result of these changes.

4.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission approves Northern's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

6.

Northern is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
