Kenora Municipal Telephone System

9-1-1 Public emergency reporting service

1.

The Commission received an application by Kenora Municipal Telephone System (Kenora), dated 18 July 2003 and amended on 6 August 2003, to add item 6, 9-1-1 Public Emergency Reporting Service, to section 100 of its General Tariff in order to offer the service at:
 
  • a monthly rate of $0.21 for each access line for outward local calling, each Centrex local, and for digital network access service - each DS-0 connected  to the public switched telephone network for outward local calling; and
 
  • a monthly rate of $0.105 for wireless service providers, per wireless working  number equipped for outward calling.

Kenora submitted that the proposed rates are consistent with the rates approved for Dryden Municipal Telephone System in Telecom Order CRTC 2003-116, 20 March 2003, and Bell Canada in Telecom Order CRTC 2003-13, 9 January 2003.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Kenora's application. The revisions take effect as of 1 October 2003.

Kenora is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
