Aliant Telecom Inc.

Reference: Tariff Notices 55 and 55A

Installment payment provision

1.

The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 8 November 2002 and amended on 19 November 2002, to revise General Tariff item 340.1, Single-Line Inside Wire, in order to introduce an installment payment provision for inside wire charges.

2.

In its application, Aliant Telecom indicated that Tariff Notice 55A includes a note that interest charges on partial payment plans will be applied as specified in item 115 - Late Payment Charge.

3.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
