The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CJRC Gatineau, from 1 September 2004 to 28 February 2005, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence. |

The application for the renewal of this licence was published in Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2003-55, 1 October 2003. Subsequently, in Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2004-5, 7 July 2004, the Commission announced that it had received applications by Corus Entertainment Inc. for authority to acquire the assets of a number of radio programming undertakings in Quebec, including CJRC Gatineau. These applications are scheduled for consideration at a public hearing in the National Capital Region commencing 7 September 2004. The Commission will not be able to rule on this application before the current licence expires. |

This decision does not dispose of any substantive issue that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. The Commission will issue a decision on the renewal application at a later date. |
