Telecom Order CRTC 2004-301

  Ottawa, 1 September 2004

La Compagnie de Téléphone de St-Victor's PIC/CARE access customer handbook

  Reference : 8643-S7-200406472

1.

The Commission received an application by La Compagnie de Téléphone de St-Victor (St-Victor), dated 21 June 2004, for approval of its Primary Interexchange Carrier/Customer Account Record Exchange Access Customer Handbook (PIC/CARE handbook).

2.

St-Victor's PIC/CARE handbook provides interexchange carriers (IXCs) with guidelines on exchanging information between an IXC and an incumbent company.

3.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

In July 2000, the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC) developed a model PIC/CARE handbook (CISC model) for use by the telecommunications industry. The CISC model was last updated in July 2003.

5.

The Commission finds that the PIC/CARE handbook filed by St-Victor is based on the latest version of the CISC model. It provides the necessary information with respect to PIC processing and is consistent with Sogetel inc.'s PIC/CARE handbook, which was recently approved by the Commission in Sogetel inc.'s PIC/CARE access customer handbook, Telecom Order CRTC 2004-241, 19 July 2004.

6.

Accordingly, the Commission approves St-Victor's PIC/CARE handbook.
