Intra-exchange and inter-exchange distance charges |

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 30 July 2004, to revise General Tariff item 950, Local Channels, and item 3750, Monthly Distance Charges or Rentals for Inter-exchange Channels and the Associated Local Channels, in order to change the rates for Schedule 3 and 3A channels. |

Bell Canada stated that the proposal would make these rates the same as the rates for the local portion of Schedule 3 and 3A interexchange channels in tariff item 3750. |

Bell Canada also stated that the existing stand-alone Schedule 3 and 3A rates in item 950 are distance sensitive whereas the local portion of the interexchange channels is a flat rate of $16.50 per month. Bell Canada further stated that the proposed change is revenue neutral, involves a small number of customers and would significantly reduce billing complexity. |

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application. |

The Commission approves Bell Canada's application. The revisions take effect as of 1 October 2004. |
