Telecom Order CRTC 2004-67

  Ottawa, 9 March 2004

NorthernTel Limited Partnership

  Reference: Tariff Notice 204

Withdrawal of the Carrier Access Tariff and the billing and collection service

1.

The Commission received an application by NorthernTel Limited Partnership (NorthernTel), dated 27 January 2004, to revise General Tariff section N630 in order to withdraw the Carrier Access Tariff and the billing and collection service provided to O.N.Tel.

2.

By letter dated 16 February 2004, NorthernTel noted that the Carrier Access Tariff has been replaced by the revenue-based contribution regime set out in Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001. Furthermore, O.N.Tel currently provides its own billing and collection service for toll traffic.

3.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission approves NorthernTel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

5.

NorthernTel is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
