Re:   Show cause - Publishing of certain information filed in confidence

Each company is required to show cause, by 16 August 2006, why the Commission should not publish on an aggregated basis certain information filed in confidence, pursuant to Section 39 of the Telecommunications Act , by parties as part of the Commission's proceeding initiated by PN 2006-6, Reconsideration of Regulatory framework for voice communication services using Internet Protocol, Telecom Decision CRTC 2005-28.

The following information would be presented on a nationally aggregated basis:

•  Average monthly churn rates, averaged across non-ILEC service providers based on connections

•  Percentage of telephone numbers that were ported to a VoIP service, averaged across non-ILEC service providers based on connections

All submissions must be actually received by 16 August 2006 , not merely sent by this date.

Yours sincerely,
