Call for comments on the marketing and billing practice known as "account stacking" in the context of the Commission's regulatory framework for broadcasting distribution undertakings

 

Submission of reply comments

In Call for comments on the marketing and billing practice known as "account stacking" in the context of the Commission's regulatory framework for broadcasting distribution undertakings, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2006-41, 31 March 2006, the Commission invited interested parties to file submissions on the marketing and billing practice, referred to as "account stacking," by which a broadcasting distribution undertaking treats subscriptions for the provision of service to two separate residences owned by the same person as a single subscription.

The Commission has received a total of eight comments from interested parties on this issue. The Commission has decided, further to a request from Star Choice Television Network Incorporated, to allow those parties who have filed a submission an opportunity to submit a reply comment to any of the other seven comments that have been filed with the Commission regarding this matter. The eight initial comments received can be found on the Commission's web site.

Reply comments will be accepted on or before 19 May 2006.
