  The licensee proposes to add an FM transmitter atFermeuse to broadcast the programming of CBN in order to adequately serve the population of Fermeuse.
  The transmitter would operate on frequency 104.3 MHz (channel 282A) with an average effective radiated power of 1,040 watts (maximum effective radiated power of 3,200 watts/antenna height of 60.7 metres).

Glovertown, Newfoundland & Labrador
Application No. 2005-1346-7
  Application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to amend the licence of radio programming undertaking CBG Gander, Newfoundland & Labrador.
  The licensee proposes to add an FM transmitter atGlovertownto broadcast the programming of CBG in order to serve the population of Glovertown.
  The transmitter would operate on frequency 101.5 MHz (channel 268A) with an effective radiated power of 1,276 watts (non-directional antenna/antenna height of 149.3 metres).
  The CBC indicates that the new FM transmitter will replace the low power AM transmitter CBNG Glovertown and will help improve the quality of the Radio One service in this region.
  The CBC is requesting permission to simulcast the programming of CBG Gander on the new FM transmitter and on the AM transmitter CBNG Glovertown for a period of three months from the date of implementation of the new transmitter.
  The CBC is also requesting to amend the licence of CBG Gander by deleting the AM transmitter CBNG Glovertown effective at the end of the simulcast period.

  Application by Movie Central Ltd. to amend the licence of the pay television programming undertaking known as Movie Central.
  The licensee proposes to make an upgraded high definition version of the above-noted service available for distribution. The licensee proposes the following condition of licence:
 

The licensee may also distribute an upgraded version of its standard definition service in high-definition format, provided that not less than 95% of the video and audio components of the upgraded and standard definition versions of the service are comparable. The upgraded version of the service shall include additional channels containing high-definition versions of the existing standard definition multiplexed channels offered by the licensee.

  A true copy must be sent to the applicant and proof that this has been done must accompany the intervention sent to the Commission.
  The Commission advises those who file and serve by electronic mode to exercise caution when using e-mail for service of documents or notification, as it may be difficult to establish that service has occurred.
  Before initiating service through electronic mode, please ensure that you will be able to satisfy the Commission, upon request, that service of the notification was completed.
