Toronto, Ontario
  Application 2007-0029-6, received 8 January 2007
Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2007-44

CHTO Toronto - Technical change

1. The Commission approves the application by Canadian Hellenic Toronto Radio Inc. to change the authorized contours of the commercial ethnic AM radio programming undertaking CHTO Toronto, by relocating the transmitter.
2. The licensee indicated that, due to municipal bylaws, a building permit at the original site in Scarborough could not be obtained, and an alternate transmitter site was found in North York. The licensee also indicated that the authorized contours of the station will be increased significantly as a result of the relocation of the transmitter.
3. The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.
4. The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
